Does eyeson have a free trial?

Yes, you can create an eyeson FREE account here. In this free version, you are limited to one meeting room with 48 hours of meeting history, but you can start any number of meetings in this room and participate in an unlimited number of meetings to which you have been invited. We warn you, though, once you try this tool, you may never want to go back to anything else!

What is a host?

A host can create and customize rooms. The host can decide which features are activated during a meeting and invite members to the created room. These members are allowed to start meetings and invite other members. They cannot edit the settings of the room or remove members.

If you have a team license, then you will be able to add additional hosts to your account, who will have access to all features. These hosts can create and manage their own meeting rooms.

What is a room?

eyeson rooms enable you to easily manage your video calls. You can create special rooms for e.g. your weekly meetings and share them with your team for all-time access.

Can others participate without registration?

Yes, you can invite participants to a call or meeting with the permanent room link. The invitee can join instantly without any registration and will have access to active meetings anytime. They can even become members of the room after signing up. So the room link is perfect for teams!

If you want to invite someone quickly during an active meeting, you can just use the Invite guest feature. Share the Guest Link for easy access. This link is only valid during the current meeting and will expire after the meeting has ended.

Do I have to have a webcam to join on eyeson?

While you are not required to have a webcam to join an eyeson meeting, you will not be able to transmit video of yourself. You will still be able to listen and speak during the meeting, share your screen, and view the webcam video of other participants.

Can I use my account with the mobile app as well?

Yes, our pricing plans allow you to login from anywhere, from desktops and phones. Make sure to use the same login for the mobile app. For more information on this, please visit how to use eyeson from the app.

Can I use eyeson with a slow internet connection?

We keep the bandwidth low, regardless of the number of participants. If you have a slow or unreliable internet connection or a data-capped internet connection we recommend using our Audio-Only Mode. That way you can continue your call without using a lot of data.

Where can I find video tutorials?

Our video tutorials can be found on our website if you click on "Support" on the upper menu bar and then choose "Tutorials". Click here to be redirected to the right page.

Can I control the mouse of the other person's screen?

Currently, we do not have the option of controlling another person's screen.

Is screen sharing audio available through eyeson?

Yes, sharing computer sound during screen sharing is possible. So you can play any video or music in your eyeson meetings. Just make sure to use Chrome or Edge (chromium-based).

Good to know: On Apple devices you can share Browser-Tabs with audio. On Windows devices it is additionally possible to share your entire screen with audio.

Don't forget to activate the "Share Audio"-checkbox in the Screensharing-pop-up.

What is the resolution of the eyeson video stream?

The eyeson video stream has a resolution of 1280x960 px. With our Single Stream Technology everyone gets the same video stream, from mobile phone, older laptops to new ones. As we try to deliver the best possible experience to everyone, HD resolution works the best.

Regarding your camera, the default resolution within the single stream (MCU-Mode) is set to 640x480 px, as most of the webcams use this resolution.

We also provide a widescreen mode, where the eyeson video stream has a resolution of 1280x720 px and the camera resolution is 640x360 px.

The eyeson video stream resolution changes when screen sharing as full presentation. In this case, the resolution can be up to 1080p (Full HD).

Can I create breakout rooms?

There is no option to split a meeting into breakout rooms. However, there is a workaround for this. The easiest solution is to create separate meeting rooms and send individual links to these rooms - these can be opened in a new browser tab.

Can my guests share their screen or use other features as well?

Yes, your guests have access to the following features: Screen-sharing, Drag & Drop Feature, Live Streaming, Picture-In-Picture Mode, Video Reaction with Meeting GIFs, and Video Layout.

Can I automatically record a meeting room?

No, but you can always start recording as soon as you enter the room. For more information on this, please visit Recording Explained.

How does billing work?

As our payments run through the e-commerce platform FastSpring we provide you with different payment options. The store accepts payments by all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, UnionPay and other payment methods based on your country.

What if I decide to cancel?

Do you have an API available?

Yes, we offer a video conferencing API. What that means is that you can build our application into yours to use eyeson whenever you want with one simple click. Is eyeson HIPAA compliant?

eyeson is not HIPAA certified or subjected to HIPAA compliance. However, HIPAA compliant resources like AWS are used.

Is eyeson GDPR compliant?
