How can I control who is on the video when there are more than 9 people?

Use video layouts to automatically or manually assign positions in the video stream

Up to 100 participants can be connected via ONE eyeson room where up to 9 videos can be visible in the video stream. However, this does not mean that only 9 participants can be seen with video during the entire meeting.

If you want, you can automatically show active speakers. To do this, simply activate the additional Fill empty spots automatically and Arrange users by voice activity toggle-buttons in the layouts settings in your meeting. This way, anyone who speaks may be visible on sceen.

If you want to assign fixed positions in the video stream, just pick a layout with 1, 2, 4, or 9 videos and assign as many fixed positions as available or as you want. You don't need to assign all positions. To do this, drag & drop the most important speakers of the meeting to the desired spots. That's all you need to do. The selected person(s) will be visible throughout the meeting (unless the layout is changed).

If you leave seats empty, you can assign these free positions automatically with the Fill empty spots automatically and Arrange users by voice activity toggle-buttons in the layout settings. Then, the chosen speakers will be permanently displayed in the video stream and the remaining free positions will be distributed according to the voice activity of the other participants.
