Call Control allows you to control the meeting directly from your USB or Bluetooth devices.
This feature is designed to enhance your meeting experience by allowing seamless integration of your headset or speakerphone controls with eyeson meetings.
Setting Up Call Control Devices
- in the meeting preview
- in the device settings section of a running meeting
Multiple Device Support
You can pair multiple devices and your browser will remember the devices until you choose to remove them. This allows for a hassle-free experience, eliminating the need for repetitive device setup.
Functionality in Meetings
1. Joining Meetings
While in preview, pressing the call button will trigger joining the meeting.
Pressing the mute button alters the mute state in preview, and vice versa; clicking the mute button in preview reflects the mute state, typically indicated by a red light on the device.
2. Meeting Control
In a meeting, using the hang-up button on your device will promptly disconnect you. The mute/unmute state on your Call Control Device will be mirrored in the meeting, providing a unified experience.
3. Synchronization across Tabs
Please note that the Call Control Devices feature is designed to work exclusively in the first meeting tab. If you open additional meeting tabs or windows simultaneously, the feature will operate only in the initial tab.
Supported Devices
The Call Control Devices feature is built on the WebHID browser API and is currently supported on Chrome and Chromium-based browsers like Edge. The functionality depends on whether your device supports the WebHID protocol. Devices from the following vendors are likely to work seamlessly:
- Jabra
- Sennheiser
- Poly
- Yealink
Some devices may have certifications such as “certified for Zoom” or “certified for Microsoft Teams” or other services, indicating compatibility with the WebHID protocol.
